Alice Marie Kelly Kuntz Endowed Scholarship
Eligible: Continuing Dental Hygiene Students Only
Background and Purpose
This scholarship was established in 2007 by the estate of Mrs. Alice Marie Kelly Kuntz, a former dental hygienist who passed away in 2007. Mrs. Kuntz is survived by her sister, Mrs. Irene Mason, who was also a dental hygienist. The scholarship is awarded annually to an outstanding dental hygiene student who demonstrates high academic achievement, financial need, and strong leadership abilities.
Award Amount and Timing
Subject to the availability of funds the total annual award is $2,000 to the selected student(s). Scholarship award is as follows: $1,000 per semester, fall and spring semester enrollment.
- Currently enrolled rising senior student who will be enrolled on a full-time basis during the subsequent academic year.
- A minimum of a 3.0 program grade point average (pGPA).
- Documented Financial Need. All students applying for scholarships must also apply for financial aid if they have not done so already. Students are not required to accept the awarded loans, but a completed FAFSA is required to generate the aid report that officially documents the financial need of applicants. - A letter of recommendation is required from a non-related individual who is knowledgeable of and can address the applicant’s leadership traits/characteristics.
