Eulalia S. Araoz Scholarship for Cytotechnology
Eligible: New and Continuing Cytotechnology Students
Background and Purpose
The Eulalia S. Araoz Scholarship for Cytotechnology was established in 2013 by Mrs. Araoz’s husband, Dr. Carlos Araoz, MD. She was a dedicated cytotechnologist who modeled professionalism, embodied a diligent work ethic to make patients and families the focus of healthcare, and demonstrated attention to detail. It will be awarded annually to a cytotechnology student who demonstrates a commitment to the field of cytotechnology, exemplifies professionalism, and personifies a strong work ethic.
Award Amount and Timing
Subject to the availability of funds the total annual award is $2,000 to selected student(s). Scholarship award is as follows: $1,000 per semester, fall and spring semester enrollment.
- Applicant must be enrolled in the Cytotechnology Program in the UAMS College of Health Professions.
- Three references are required with at least one being from a health care professional.
