Neil and Clara Spain Endowed Scholarship

Background and Purpose
The Neil and Clara Spain Endowed Scholarship was established in 2007 through a generous bequest from Neal and Clara Spain. Donor wishes state this scholarship is to be used to support students in need who are enrolled in any of the colleges on the UAMS campus.
Award Amount and Timing
Subject to the availability of funds the total annual award is $1,000 to the selected student. Scholarship award is as follows: $500 per semester, fall and spring semester enrollment.
- Applicant must have completed at least one semester of coursework in a College of Health Professions program.
- Minimum cumulative program grade point average (cGPA) of 3.50.
- Documented Financial Need. All students applying for scholarships must also apply for financial aid if they have not done so already. Students are not required to accept the awarded loans, but a completed FAFSA is required to generate the aid report that officially documents the financial need of applicants.
