College Holds Informal Brunch for Graduates, Families

June 27, 2016 | One day before commencement exercises, the College of Health Professions celebrated graduation with an informal celebration brunch in its open areas and courtyards.

Approximately 300 people, including faculty, staff, graduates as well as their family and friends, gathered for the event.

Students snapped photos, chatted with friends and said goodbyes to educators who had supported them during their academic careers at UAMS. A few even got up and danced to live music provided by Cory Fontenot.

“The end of any semester is often a busy time, and commencement exercises only add to the hectic schedule for students and faculty,” said Douglas L. Murphy, Ph.D., dean of the College of Health Professions. “The brunch allows us a few moments to pause and savor this momentous achievement for our graduates.”
