College Celebrates 71 Graduate Degree Recipients
May 29, 2015 | The 71 College of Health Professions students earning master’s and doctorals degrees were honored at a May 14 academic hooding ceremony.

During the ceremony, each student received the academic hood they would wear around the shoulders of their commencement gown at UAMS graduation on May 16. Each hood’s colors denoted the program or level of degree.
The group included the first 26 graduates of the UAMS physician assistant program, who received a Master of Physician Assistant Studies degree.

Hoods also were invested for students receiving the Master of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders, the Doctor of Audiology, the Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition, the Master of Science in Genetic Counseling, and the Master of Imaging Sciences – Radiologist Assistant degrees.
College of Health Professions Dean Douglas Murphy, Ph.D.
Ann Bain, dean for the College of Education and Health Professions at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock (UALR) delivered keynote remarks. The Department of Audiology and Speech Pathology is jointly hosted by UAMS and UALR.
