Department of Audiology and Speech Pathology – Full-Time Clinical Faculty

Overview

The Department of Audiology and Speech Pathology in the College of Health Professions at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) seeks applicants for a full-time, 12-month Audiology clinical faculty position, located in Little Rock, Arkansas. We are searching for a team-oriented faculty member. Academic rank and salary are commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities

  • Performs clinic-related administrative duties.
  • Provides supervision for students.
  • Teaches relevant audiology courses.
  • Assists with interprofessional education milestones for students.
  • Participates in university, community, and professional service.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of Au.D., or related audiology doctoral degree with a clinical focus
  • Eligibility for CCC-A
  • Eligibility for licensure in the state of Arkansas
  • Strong commitment to fulfill mission of the department, college, and university
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to communicate productively with students, colleagues, staff, and community professionals

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Clinical experience with comprehensive diagnostics and amplification (Desired specialties may include auditory processing disorders, vestibular assessment, and/or tinnitus/hyperacusis)
  • One year of clinical experience beyond the doctoral degree
  • Experience with clinical practice and business management
  • Knowledge of reimbursement and coding procedures
  • University or college teaching and student supervision experience
