Walter S. Nunnelly Scholarship

Background and Purpose

The Walter S. Nunnelly Scholarship was established in 2014 through a generous donation from Walter S. Nunnelly to benefit students in the College of Health Professions at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.

Award Amount and Timing

Subject to the availability of funds, the total annual award is $3,000 to the selected student(s).  Scholarship award is as follows: $1,500 per semester, fall and spring semester enrollment.

Eligibility Criteria

  1. Applicant must have completed at least one semester of coursework in a College of Health Professions program.
  2. Minimum cumulative program grade point average (cGPA) of 3.50.
  3. Documented Financial Need – All students applying for scholarships must apply for financial aid.  Students are not required to accept awarded loans, but in order to generate the aid report required that officially documents financial need, a completed FAFSA is required.  Please see the Student Financial Services website for more information.
