Leah Katayama Wilkins Scholarship

Eligible: New Speech-Language Pathology students

Background and Purpose

The Leah Katayama Wilkins scholarship was established in 2003 by Dr. and Mrs. Katayama in loving memory of their daughter, Mrs. Leah Katayama Wilkins. Mrs. Wilkins received a Speech-Language Pathology Master of Science degree from the Department of Audiology and Speech Pathology in 2000. The scholarship is awarded annually to help support an exemplary first year Master of Science graduate student in Speech-Language Pathology.

Award Amount and Timing

Subject to the availability of funds, the total annual award is $300 to selected student(s).  Scholarship award is as follows: the full amount of the award will be awarded during the fall semester.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must demonstrate the following attributes:

  1. Currently in good academic standing.
  2. Currently enrolled as a 1st year full-time graduate degree seeking student in Speech-Language Pathology.
