Dr. and Mrs. Cyrus P. Klein Scholarship
Eligible: New Radiologic Imaging Sciences Students from the SW Arkansas Area*
Background and Purpose
The Dr. and Mrs. Cyrus P. Klein Scholarship was established by Dr. and Mrs. Cordell L. Klein to provide financial assistance and recognize high academic achievement by students in the Radiologic Imaging Science program through the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.
Award Amount and Timing
Subject to the availability of funds, the total annual award is $1,500 to selected student(s). Scholarship award is as follows: the full amount of the award will be awarded at the beginning of the spring semester.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicant must be accepted as a full-time student in the Radiologic Imaging Sciences (RIS) program in the UAMS College of Health Professions.
- Applicant must have a minimum cumulative grade point average (cGPA) of 3.0.
- Documented Financial Need. All students applying for scholarships must also apply for financial aid if they have not done so already. Students are not required to accept the awarded loans, but a completed FAFSA is required to generate the aid report that officially documents the financial need of applicants. - Preference is given to new Radiologic Imaging Sciences students from the SW Arkansas area*
*Every effort will be made to award this scholarship to a student from the SW Arkansas area; however, if there is no qualified applicant from that area the scholarship will be awarded to any qualified RIS student.
