Curriculum for the Part-Time Track of the Online Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Care Degree Advancement Program

Curriculum Overview

Courses in the Online Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Care Degree Advancement Program have been thoughtfully designed to accommodate the needs of employed practitioners. Students should be aware that the curriculum requires a significant amount of independent study. Consequently, discipline, motivation and organization are essential for success.

The professional curriculum of the part-time track of the Online Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Care Degree Advancement Program requires a minimum of 30 semester credit hours for completion. It is designed to be completed in five semesters: fall, spring, and summer of the first academic year, followed by fall and spring of the second academic year.

Current Degree Plan

The following 30 hours of courses are required to be completed by all students in the part-time track of the Online Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Care Degree Advancement Program.

Course Completion Requirements

All professional courses must be completed with a grade of C or better in order to progress to the next semester or to graduate, if it occurs in the last semester of the program.

Interprofessional Education

All students in the UAMS College of Health Professions must complete all Interprofessional Education activities.

Students must meet the following requirements to complete the full-time track of the Online Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Care Degree Advancement Program.

  • Pass all required courses in the program with a minimum GPA of 2.0.
  • Complete Interprofessional Education requirements.
