Curriculum for the Five-Semester Track of the Online MLT-to-MLS Degree Advancement Program

Curriculum Overview

The curriculum of the Online MLT-to-MLS Degree Advancement Program’s five-semester track consists of 75 semester credit hours of prerequisite coursework and 45 semester credit hours of upper-level courses in the medical laboratory sciences program.

A key component of the program curriculum is the use of case study and development in lieu of traditional clinical internships. Students will develop higher-level clinical analysis during these courses to prepare for medical laboratory scientist level technical roles.

A letter grade of C or better is required for the student to progress in the program.
