Curriculum Overview
The curriculum of the Online Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Sciences Degree Advancement Program’s four-semester track consists of 75 semester credit hours of prerequisite coursework and 45 semester credit hours of upper-level courses in the medical laboratory sciences program.
A key component of the program curriculum is the use of case study and development in lieu of traditional clinical internships. Students will develop higher-level clinical analysis during these courses to prepare for medical laboratory scientist level technical roles.

Course Completion Requirements
A letter grade of C or better is required for the student to progress in the program.
Interprofessional Education
All students in the UAMS College of Health Professions must complete all Interprofessional Education activities.
Program Completion Requirements
- A minimum GPA of 2.0 is required to earn the degree.
- Complete Interprofessional Education requirements.
