Prerequisite Requirements
The information below applies to the Fall 2025 admission cycle.
One undergraduate class, with a grade of C or better, in each of the following areas is required:
- Mathematics (College Algebra or higher)
- Biological science (Biology, Human Anatomy and Physiology, Neuroanatomy and Neurophysiology, Human Genetics)
- Physical science (Physics, Chemistry, or Acoustics)
- Behavioral sciences (Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, Education)
- Statistics (Research methods will not fulfill this requirement. Statistics will also satisfy Mathematics.)
- Phonetics (or equivalent)*
- Language Acquisition (or equivalent)*
Students should have a minimum overall or last 60 credit hours GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale to be eligible for admissions.
* Must be completed before or during the first year of study in the program.
