MLT-to-MLS – Non-Degree Option

Students interested in taking courses from our MLT-to-MLS curriculum as a non-degree-seeking student can do so by completing an application to the college as a non-degree student.  This option is ideal for someone needing a specific course to further their professional career, or for someone looking to get into our MLT-to-MLS degree-seeking program in the future.  This option is recommended for individuals with a minimum of 60 semester hours of college credit and one-year of full time lab experience by the time the course begins.  Courses are done through online education, and only courses already being offered that semester are open to non-degree students.  The deadline to apply for the non-degree option is November 1 to start in the spring and June 1 to start in the fall.

Please note that non-degree students are not eligible for federal financial aid nor Federal Veteran’s Benefits.  If a student takes courses as a non-degree student and then transitions into the degree program, that student’s degree plan may look different than the program’s regular program curriculum, which can have an effect on financial aid available to the student.  For more information about federal financial aid, please contact the UAMS Financial Aid Office at 501-686-5451 or visit http://studentfinancialservices.uams.edu/.
