Living in Northwest Arkansas

Overview

The UAMS Northwest Regional Campus is located in Fayetteville, Arkansas, near the main University of Arkansas campus. This scenic locale has a population of around 79,000 and was selected as the 5th Best Place to Live in the Country by U.S. News in 2018.

Fayetteville is located in the Ozark Mountains where state parks and trails abound. From brilliant fall foliage to the vibrant colors of spring, the lush landscape reflects the changing seasons.

In addition to outdoor adventures such as hiking, biking, running, camping, and rafting, residents of Northwest Arkansas have access to concerts, theaters, shopping, and a wide variety of dining options. Sports enthusiasts can enjoy University of Arkansas Razorback team games and Arkansas Naturals minor league baseball games, and admission is always free at the renowned Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in the nearby city of Bentonville.

See below for more information about some of the attractions that the Fayetteville area has to offer.
