Living in Little Rock

Overview

The main campus of UAMS is located in the capital of Arkansas, Little Rock. This metropolitan area has a population of more than 628,000 and a low cost of living. Little Rock experiences four distinct seasons, with an overall moderate climate. Residents of Little Rock can enjoy a wide variety of historic preservations, visual arts, performing arts, libraries, and nightlife. A large number of museums are located in the area, including the Clinton Presidential Library.

Outdoor Activities

Even though Little Rock is the capitol of Arkansas and the state’s largest city, we still have tons of great outdoor activities to enjoy, even in our downtown area!
