Policies for the Master of Physician Assistant Studies Program

The policies for the Master of Physician Assistant Studies Program can be found below. These pages contain various policies and procedures that students in the program must follow. They are updated each academic year.

Program Manuals

These handbooks cover all of the policies and procedures, as well as additional program information, for both the didactic and clinical portions of the program. Please note that the didactic handbook is for the cohort currently going through the didactic phase of the curriculum, while the clinical handbook is for the cohort currently going through the clinical phase of the curriculum.

Basic Life Support Requirement

Accepted applicants must have a current basic life support certification with a year remaining on the certification at time of matriculation (enrollment).

Tuition Deposit

A tuition deposit of $500 will be required from applicants who are accepted into the Master of Physician Assistant Studies Program. The tuition deposit is utilized to hold a position in the cohort and will be applied to the student’s tuition expenses once the student matriculates into the program. The tuition deposit is not refundable to accepted applicants who choose not to enroll into the program. The deadline for the college to receive the tuition deposit will be two weeks after the applicant is officially accepted and set up in the UAMS Workday system.

Diagnostic Medical Equipment

All students enrolled in the Master Physician Assistant Studies Program will be required to purchase the approved diagnostic medical equipment package that is covered by a required student fee.
