Frequently Asked Questions about the Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Imaging Science Program

What is the time commitment and length of the Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Imaging Science Program?

Students should be available Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. for the on-campus program. The Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Imaging Science Program is six contiguous semesters.

Can I work while in the Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Imaging Science Program?

In the Online Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Imaging Science Degree Advancement Program, the student is encouraged to work as a radiographer, as all courses are offered online.

It is not recommended that students in the On-Campus Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Imaging Science Program work if at all possible.

Is an associate degree required to be admitted to the On-Campus Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Imaging Science Program? 

A degree is not required to be admitted to the On-Campus Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Imaging Science Program. The prerequisite requirements for admission consideration consist of 35 credit hours of basic college coursework. Please see the Admissions Requirements page for more details.

When does the Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Imaging Science Program begin? 

A new cohort begins the On-Campus Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Imaging Science Program each August.

Students can start the Online Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Imaging Science Degree Advancement Program in January, May or August.

Can I apply if I am still completing prerequisite courses?

Yes, students may apply to the Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Imaging Science program while still completing prerequisite coursework. However, all 35 prerequisite credit hours must be fully completed with a grade C or better before the start of the first semester. Students may not begin the program with outstanding prerequisite courses.

Please note that Anatomy & Physiology I must be completed or in progress by the March 15 application deadline.

For the strongest foundation and greatest opportunity for success, we encourage applicants to complete as many prerequisite courses as possible prior to applying.
