Clinical Phase Update

Congratulations to Samantha Lawson who joins the Clinical Education team as Associate Director of Clinical Education. She will be focusing on the EOR Curriculum. Our other Clinical Education team member, Hillary Mayberry, has a focus on site maintenance and growth, of our Supervised Clinical Practice Experiences (SCPEs). The Clinical Team has developed a novel 3-part PANCE prep Workshop which will take place during the Class of 2023’s EOR 7-9 to better prepare students for their PANCE exam.
The class of 2023 participated in Hooding and Commencement ceremonies, and we are all proud of their accomplishments! They are completing their core rotations, about to embark on elective rotations, and the Summative written and practical exams.
The class of 2024 is completing their Didactic education and is in the Summer Module. They begin their core rotations in June.

We extend a hearty “welcome aboard” to three new sites: The Arkansas Department of Health, a PA at Renaissance Women’s Center in Conway, and the Veterans Affairs (VA) of the Ozarks Behavioral Health. Looking ahead, we are working to add CHI St. Vincent for Inpatient Medicine. If you or someone you know practices in Internal Medicine – Outpatient, Pediatrics, or Geriatric Medicine, and would like to serve as a Clinical Preceptor, please contact Hillary Mayberry at 501-686-7211, as we are looking to add several sites/preceptors in those disciplines.
