Student Spotlight Class of 2023

Holley Coker is a member of the UAMS PA Class of 2023.  She hails from Hot Springs, Arkansas and graduated from Harding University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering. Holley hopes that through pursuing a career as a PA, she can help provide support to those without adequate access to healthcare.  In her free time, Holley likes to bake, drink coffee, and spend time with her friends and family.

Holley is the Diversity Representative for her class. While juggling school, clinical rotations, and being a representative, Holley has also served as a student tutor for the summer, fall, and spring term, having tutored in Anatomy and Principles of Medicine. Working 40 hours a week in clinical rotations, plus tutoring 10-12 hours a week, Holley still has managed to succeed at all she does and continues to learn and become the best PA she can be!

She loves her rotations and is currently looking for a job in women’s health, pediatrics, family medicine, emergency medicine, or plastic surgery.

On Saturday May 20, Holley, along with the rest of the Class of 2023, participated in the graduation commencement activities and Friday August 25, 2023, marks the culmination of the students’ hard work, as we celebrate with the Valediction ceremony!
