Who is eligible for the Fast Track?

The MSCN-Fast Track program has been developed for:

  • Students enrolled in an ACEND-accredited supervised practice program that does not include graduate coursework.
  • A Registered Dietitian who wishes to complete a graduate degree (MS).

The Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition Fast Track program is unable to accept applications from international students with F-1 visas at this time.

What are the admission requirements?

  • Dietetic Internship Verification statement or, if student is currently enrolled in a non-degree granting DI program, a letter from the DI program director stating that the student currently enrolled
  • Official transcripts from every college or university attended
  • Completion of a baccalaureate degree
  • Cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least 2.85 on a 4.0 scale
  • Three reference letters-preferably two from undergraduate or post-baccalaureate professors and one from an employer
  • CV/Resume
  • Statement of purpose limited to 1,000 words addressing:   Why you are interested in the program
    • Experiences that have prepared you for the program
    • Short-term goals
    • Long-term goals

How do I apply to the program?

An applicant first applies for admission to the UAMS Graduate School by completing the application forms and requesting official transcripts from all colleges attended. The UAMS Graduate School forwards all eligible applications to the Department of Dietetics and Nutrition for an admission decision.
