Prerequisite Requirements

The information below applies to the Fall 2025 admission cycle.

One undergraduate class, with a grade of C or better, in each of the following areas is required:

  • Mathematics (College Algebra or higher)
  • Biological science (Biology, Human Anatomy and Physiology, Neuroanatomy and Neurophysiology, Human Genetics)
  • Physical science (Physics, Chemistry, or Acoustics)
  • Behavioral sciences (Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, Education)
  • Statistics (Research methods will not fulfill this requirement. Statistics will also satisfy Mathematics.)
  • Phonetics (or equivalent)*
  • Language Acquisition (or equivalent)*

Students should have a minimum overall or last 60 credit hours GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale to be eligible for admissions.

* Must be completed before or during the first year of study in the program.
