Esther Elliott Martin Scholarship
Eligible: Currently Enrolled Students Only
Background and Purpose
Since 2007, Portage Learning has been awarding several $2,000 scholarships annually to partner schools. The funds are intended to help qualified students with tuition and fees. This scholarship program was established in memory of Esther Elliott Martin as a tribute to her lifelong commitment to education. As a reflection of her Christian faith, she gave her time and resources tirelessly while demonstrating respect and concern for each student. Partner schools are selected based on a commitment to non-traditional students and applicants. Portage Learning partner schools award scholarships to individuals in their programs who exhibit financial need and are committed to fulfilling their educational goals. The UAMS College of Health Professions was the most recent recipient of the Portage Learning Partner School Scholarship.
