Lynn Coates and Caroline Coates-Nelson Endowed Scholarship
Eligible: New or Currently Enrolled Doctor of Audiology and Masters in Speech-Language Pathology Students
Background and Purpose
Established in 2016, this scholarship was established in honor of Lynn Coates and Caroline Coates-Nelson. This scholarship will be used to benefit students in the UAMS College of Health Processions Audiology and Speech Pathology programs.
Award Amount and Timing
Subject to the availability of funds, the total annual award is to be determined. Scholarship award is as follows: 50% of total award per semester for fall and spring semester enrollment. The award will be made before the end of the spring semester for the following academic year.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicant must be accepted as a full-time or part-time student pursuing a degree in the Audiology and Speech Pathology Department.
- Academic accomplishment and financial need will be strongly considered.
- Documented Financial Need – All students applying for scholarships must apply for financial aid. Students are not required to accept awarded loans, but in order to generate the aid report required that officially documents financial need, a completed FAFSA is required.
