Exciting Opportunity: $2,600 Stipend for Accepted Students in the UAMS Master of Science in Dietetics Program (2025-2026 Cohort)
The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is proud to announce that all students accepted into the Master of Science in Dietetics Program for the 2025-2026 cohort will receive a $2,600 stipend to support their academic success and professional development.
This stipend is designed to enhance the learning experience of students while they pursue their Master’s degree in Dietetics, in alignment with the ACEND (Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics) Standards, which meet rigorous quality standards to prepare students for competent, evidence-based practice and leadership roles in dietetics.
The stipend will be distributed in two installments:
- $1,300 in the Fall Semester
- $1,300 in the Spring Semester
By reducing financial barriers, UAMS enables students to focus on developing the competencies outlined in the ACEND Standards, including critical thinking, communication skills, and ethical practices in nutrition and dietetics. This aligns with UAMS’s mission to provide high-quality, accessible healthcare education that empowers students to serve diverse populations and meet the healthcare needs of Arkansas and beyond.
We are excited to welcome highly motivated individuals into our program and provide support as they embark on a transformative academic and professional journey.

Health Insurance Requirement
Students enrolled at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences are required by University of Arkansas Board policy (Policy 1260.1) to have health insurance coverage at all times. The responsibility for obtaining health insurance coverage rests with the student. Students are urged to investigate for themselves the policy best suited to meet their particular needs. Students are encouraged to confirm their coverage under their existing plan of insurance prior to registration or, if they do not have any existing insurance, obtain such coverage. A Student Injury and Sickness plan offered by Academic Health Plans is available to all UAMS students. The amount reflected on this line is an estimated cost of plan offered by Academic Health Plans. A summary of the plan’s coverage, eligibility requirements, and instructions for enrollment of students and their eligible dependents as well as contact information for a UAMS representative that can assist you is detailed at this link http://studentlife.uams.edu/student-insurance-required/.
